TriFection previously remodeled a kitchen and master bath for our clients in Richmond. They loved the HUGE transformations to these rooms, especially our custom cabinetry and the massive shower! So, with retirement in sight, they decided to start Phase 2 of their dream home. They asked us to remodel their laundry room and guest bath. Now, the existing laundry room served the previous homeowners as both a laundry room AND a food preparation area, separate from the kitchen. With a beautiful TriFection pro-style kitchen, our clients no longer needed extra food prep space in the laundry room. So, we converted the entire area into one of the largest, nicest laundry rooms you’ll find!
Making Laundry Fun Again!
We consulted with our clients to design a custom laundry room remodel that would maximize the utilization of every square foot. This process began by eliminating the closet that housed the washer and dryer. Instead, we designed and built a tall solid wood linen cabinet and upper cabinets around these appliances. 
As a result, our clients now enjoy abundant and more accessible storage. We also built a large cabinet for their built-in Thermador fridge and freezer. And, we installed more runs of lower and upper cabinets, equivalent in size to a small kitchen. We constructed these cabinets from red oak wood and stained them Cherry to match the kitchen.
To maintain consistency with the style of the remodeled kitchen, our clients picked black soapstone countertops and basketweave tile for the backsplash. The new flooring features black slate tile. The combination looks very impressive, especially when illuminated with new LED recessed can lights, undercabinet lights, and upper cabinet lights. We even reframed and installed a larger picture window to allow more natural light, improve the view of the surrounding country acreage, and enhance curb appeal. Doing laundry just got a little more fun in this setting!
