Wood-Mode Cabinets, one of the largest custom cabinet makers in the country, abruptly ceased operations on May 13th. The 77-year old company based in Kreamer, Pennsylvania closed after negotiations to sell the business and secure new financing ended. The news shocked the local community and the construction industry nationwide. Consequently, more than 900 employees are now out of work. Furthermore, many designers, builders, and remodelers are scrambling for a new custom cabinetry supplier.
