TriFection rang in the holiday season with its annual company Christmas party and awards dinner, a private event hosted at The Hideaway on Dunvale. Our growing team celebrated the end to a successful 2015 with an exciting evening that included great food & drinks, a DJ who brought a karaoke machine for the daring vocalists, and plenty of good cheer. All of our employees, contractors and vendors in attendance had fun, so we would like to thank The Hideaway staff again for their tremendous hospitality. If you’re looking to host a non-formal group outing and want to have a good time, this venue would be an ideal location for the event.
TriFection owners Jeff Roberts and Jeff Reina surprised everyone as they belted out some American classics on the karaoke microphone late into the evening. Before entertaining the crowd with their talent (or lack thereof in Reina’s case), they announced the following company award winners for 2015:
Rookie of the Year – Eleanor Gould, HR Coordinator. Among TriFection’s new hires in 2015, Eleanor distinguished herself in a newly created position at TriFection. She quickly assumed responsibility for leading our human resources and recruiting efforts. As a result, we were able to make key hires among a very large pool of applicants. Her continual focus on recruiting should allow TriFection to add the best and brightest candidates to our team each year. Eleanor also made valuable contributions in other areas, including technology and sales.
Breakthrough Performer – Gary Adams, Carpenter. Gary joined the TriFection team in 2014 after relocating from Georgia to Houston with limited knowledge of carpentry, particularly custom cabinet making at TriFection’s level. After introducing himself to Jeff Roberts at an industry luncheon, Gary accepted an opportunity to learn as an carpentry apprentice. With his strong work ethic, dedication to top quality and sharp mind, Gary demonstrated extraordinary development in 2015. He now builds many of our custom cabinets independently. Gary’s rapid advancement has not only increased our volume of cabinet production but also allowed our senior carpenters to focus more on field installations and project management.
Lifetime Achievement Award – Melanie Heinrich, Selections Manager. Aside from Jeff Roberts, Melanie is TriFection’s longest serving employee. This year marked her 20th anniversary with the company. She began her career by soliciting new business from a booth in a shopping mall while attending college. Today, she manages our selections team and approves all tile designs and installations. She is also actively involved in our sales, marketing and project management efforts. Based on her in-depth knowledge of all company functions, she ranks third in command at TriFection, behind owners Jeff Roberts and Jeff Reina. During the course of her longstanding tenure, Melanie has seen nearly everything possible within the remodeling industry. Her loyalty and dedication to company goals have been invaluable through past business cycles and company-specific growing pains. She is a key pillar in the foundation for our current and future success.
MVP Award – Kevin Soberg, Master Carpenter & Cabinetry Shop Manager. The “Most Valuable Player” is the top TriFection honor awarded each year based on the collective feedback from owners Jeff Roberts and Jeff Reina, fellow employees, contractors and our clients. It is given to the person who best demonstrates the knowledge, work ethic, client service and overall professionalism upon which TriFection is built. Through numerous initiatives, Kevin has done a remarkable job improving the volume, efficiency and safety of our cabinetry shop. He has worked diligently to impart his advanced knowledge to several new carpenters under his direction. His well-organized approach and attention to detail set a great example for others to follow and play a important role in our highly effective project execution.
