Lady in Katy Loves Her TriFection Master Bath Remodel

Custom bathroom remodel in Katy

One of our past clients in Katy recently called us back to remodel her master bath.  She and her husband loved the custom entertainment center we built for them several years ago.  Now, she never really considered calling another contractor, particularly once she saw how well we remodeled her sister-in-law’s entire home.  Undoubtedly, trust serves as perhaps the most important factor in the residential remodeling and construction business.  So, the team of professionals at TriFection works incredibly hard every day to earn and maintain that trust from our clients.

New Custom Shower and Bathtub in the Design

Before TriFection custom bathroom remodelThe existing builder-grade shower showed its age, including framed glass and decorative columns on each side.  Our clients wanted a custom shower with a larger feel and brighter, more contemporary look.  Once we determined the columns served no structural purpose, we eliminated them from the new shower design.  Our clients wanted to preserve a bench seat along with a new handheld showering device, a very popular request.  Instead of their old shower caddie hardware for soap and shampoo, we framed a large recessed niche in the back wall of the shower.  This niche provides a much more natural, elegant appearance to the shower.  Frameless glass completes the shower transformation.

These folks like to use their bathtub on a regular basis, so we recommended keeping a tub in the new design.  As the old saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Bathroom remodel in Katy We custom-design bathroom remodels for the very specific needs of each individual client. For those who don’t take baths, we often eliminate the tub in favor of a larger shower or more storage space.  Maximizing enjoyment and functionality, not perceived impact on future resale value, drives our design thoughts.  However, we firmly believe that the lack of a tub in a master bath does not adversely affect resale value.  This statement is especially true when a TriFection custom shower fills the space!

To accommodate the new jetted tub here, we framed and tiled a new deck that fits snugly between the his & her vanity cabinets.  As a result, our clients have plenty of space for bath products and decorative items.

Perfect Combination of Tile, Counters and Cabinets

Custom shower design KatyOur clients certainly know what they like when they see it.  With a little guidance from our team, they quickly identified Calacatta Miranda quartz as the ideal countertop to complement custom cabinets painted Extra White.  The tile package included Cemento Cassero Grigio flooring, Uptown Manhattan shower walls, and CS Calacatta Gris shower floor and accents.  The combination of whites and grays, with Sherwin Williams Repose Grey on the walls, ties together seamlessly.

To show off these material selections, we installed a new lighting package, including new LED recessed can lights throughout the bathroom.  Importantly, the new can light above the shower really illuminates the space.  We also eliminated the old glass block window with more modern glass blocks and better mortar application.

Bathroom Band Back Together for an Encore!

Our clients truly love their new Katy master bath remodel.  In fact, they’ve now engaged us to remodel two upstairs guest bathrooms!  Soon their guests will enjoy the same type of 5-star luxury and comfort our clients do every day.  Once again, these nice folks greatly appreciated not only the quality of TriFection’s craftsmanship but also our responsiveness and assistance with certain vendor matters in a challenging environment.  We are grateful for the opportunity and look forward to the bathroom remodeling encore performance!
