Our clients in the Richmond area love flying. In fact, they own a plane and have a private runway directly behind their house! When they decided to remodel the kitchen, they wanted to reach new heights in their forever home. They chose TriFection to lead the project after visiting our website and diligent research. The husband possesses real woodworking experience, so the quality of custom cabinetry mattered greatly, even when it came down to the butcher block countertops he selected. Once they visited our sales & design center in west Houston and witnessed our capabilities firsthand, these nice folks knew they found the right remodeling partner.
New Butcher Block Countertops Drive Selections
While the husband knows wood, the wife knew from the beginning the countertops she wanted. She had seen a gorgeous natural quartzite in a friend’s home. Then, she saw a picture of very similar material in a picture of a TriFection kitchen remodel during the visit to our office. Her decision was made, even if the original budget needed to stretch a little to get it. After all, why settle for less when building your dream kitchen?… And, the husband offered no resistance as he wisely recognized “Happy Wife Means Happy Life”!
To provide some unique contrast, she chose a cherry wood, face-grain butcher block top for the island. That selection really complements the existing look and feel of the home. As the final piece of the countertop solution, TriFection masterfully refinished an aged wooden bar top between the kitchen and living room. This restored bar top provides eye-catching character and the perfect transition between areas.
TriFection Custom Cabinets Pass a Tough Test
After considering different wood species, these clients chose solid cherry for the new custom cabinets. Again, the cost exceeded some other options, but they simply loved the grain pattern found in cherry and the stained look we could achieve. They selected cove-style raised panel cabinet fronts, equipped with best-in-class hinges and drawer slides, as found in all TriFection cabinetry. Per special request from the woodworker, we even built the drawer boxes with dovetail joints. Classic Fruitwood served as the stain color choice, which blended very nicely with an existing wood ceiling and wood floors… Based on their reaction upon seeing our completed cabinetry work, we knew we passed the “Top Gun” test from these frequent flyers. That’s such a rewarding feeling for our team of kitchen designers and master craftsmen.
Custom Cabinets and Butcher Block Counter Top for the Win
Since we completed the remodel, our clients have proudly shown off the kitchen to neighbors and friends. The strong compliments have been unanimous. Apparently, some visitors have now been inspired to launch their own kitchen remodeling projects soon. Our clients are thrilled, commenting, “Sometimes we just look for an excuse to go into the kitchen and enjoy it!”… So, they’ll be flying high for a while, but they’ve already identified the next landing spot for us in a few years – the master bathroom.
