Our west Houston clients with contemporary tastes wanted to remodel their kitchen and master bathroom. They had purchased a nice house but knew it would never be “home” until these key rooms received custom treatment. The functionality, style, and color scheme simply did not fit them at all. Therefore, they needed to find a trustworthy contractor with an excellent track record and creative ideas. These folks discovered TriFection in a neighborhood newsletter and learned our sales & design center is located only 5 minutes from their house. So, once they contacted us, we scheduled a very convenient in-home consultation.
Establishing Priorities and a Comfortable Budget
During this first visit, we discussed many remodeling ideas our clients had considered. We shared some design expertise and honest budget guidance to help them determine their top priorities. The kitchen required the most thought as numerous layout options existed. After listening carefully (always a good starting point for a contractor), we understood a more open concept with a dry bar area to be important. The island needed to be a better workspace for cooking. A new pantry cabinet would be nice to have, but not a must-have, given other remodeling needs.
In the master bath, a major reconfiguration was not necessary. They wanted a bigger shower, a nice freestanding tub, and distinctive tile. The two vanity cabinets required a big upgrade in craftsmanship but could remain in largely the same footprint.
Asking Good Questions Determines Good Fit
These clients certainly did their homework in choosing a contractor, as every homeowner should. They asked many thoughtful questions and interviewed multiple companies. We developed a good rapport during an extensive follow-up meeting at our sales & design center and subsequent phone calls. They liked our proven design capabilities and transparency about our remodeling process. While our clients had some hands-on remodeling experience, they wanted professional leadership and highly skilled craftsmen for this transformational project. Despite cheaper alternatives, they wisely recognized price should not be the # 1 factor in choosing a contractor. They chose TriFection based on everything we could offer.
TriFection Brings the Remodeling Vision to Life
The TriFection team provided several rounds of computer designs and material selections assistance. Our clients gained a clear visualization of the project before the onsite demo and remodeling work began. As a result, their anxiety eased, and the excitement built.
The kitchen and master bath choices for cabinetry, countertops, tile, fixtures, hardware, and paint colors fit the desired contemporary theme beautifully. Key features include Shaker cabinets in both rooms, Viscount White granite and Bati Orient backsplash in the kitchen, and Metropolis White quartz and More Grigio tile (with a special focal wall) in the master bath. The various paint colors deliver a much brighter look and sense of fun, personalized style.
A Remodel So Good It Deserves an Encore
Our clients absolutely love their new kitchen and master bath. They can now cook, entertain, and relax in a perfect setting. Their house truly has become a home to enjoy for many years to come. However, as often happens following a TriFection remodel, other rooms are begging for similar treatment. We’re already working on remodeling ideas for their daughter’s bathroom, a guest bath, and the living room fireplace. Like the music legends, we’ll just keep giving our loyal fans more of what they want…
