Bathroom Remodel Encore in Katy

Katy Bathroom 4

We remodeled a guest bathroom for our clients in Katy about 18 months ago.  They absolutely loved the new look of custom cabinets, granite countertops, and tiled tub & shower area.  And, the highly professional approach of the entire TriFection team impressed them.  So, when the time came for a master bath remodel, they never considered another company.  They knew TriFection would create a great design, build it correctly and treat them fairly on price.  Plus, we had developed a great working relationship and mutual trust during the first project.  Trying to replicate that dynamic with all new faces would be difficult.

Functional Shower Changes

As with most Katy bathroom remodels, we focused initially on the tub and shower area.  The existing bathroom featured a sunken Roman tub that could be unsafe entering or exiting, especially during retirement years.   So, we quickly agreed to fill the recess with concrete and raise the new shower floor.  Additionally, we eliminated the unnecessary furdown above the shower to provide a more spacious feel.  We also added a bench seat, recessed soap niches and a handheld showering unit for maximum comfort and enjoyment.

We resized a window located in the original shower.  The smaller rain glass window still allows natural light but also provides desired privacy without the need for special curtains, blinds or shutters.  Our expert framers and masonry crew made the new window and brick look original to the home instead of an obvious modification.

Greater Vanity and Linen Storage Space

At the vanity area, our new custom cabinets include a bank of drawers in place of the rarely used knee space. Those drawers provide a concealed home for dreaded bathroom “counter clutter”.  We also designed and built new custom linen cabinets with abundant storage capacity for towels, sheets and other personal effects.  Like nearly all TriFection custom cabinets, these linen cabinets feature adjustable shelves that can accommodate changing storage needs over time.

Material Selections for a Traditional Style

As mentioned, our clients loved the finished look of the first guest bath remodel, so we did not need “reinvent the wheel” for selections in the master bath. They prefer a more traditional style with earth tone colors. Although traditional, the new bathroom certainly possesses that desired “Wow!” factor.  The Golden Crystal granite countertops have lots of distinct natural movement and character.  For custom cabinets, our clients chose solid oak wood with a Traditional Cherry stain.  Various sizes of Canyon City Western Stone, sourced from Marazzi, comprised the bathroom tile package.  Playa Arenosa from Sherwin Williams served as the wall paint color.  New LED recessed can lights show off all the bathroom materials brilliantly.

Another Katy Bathroom Remodel Job Well Done

Our clients now enjoy a beautiful master bath that is on par with the guest bath.  After all, it’s their house, so they deserve a bathroom at least as nice as the one reserved for guests, right?….Despite the extraordinary challenges Covid presented during the design and selections phase last year, this remodeling project ran very smoothly.  Once again, our clients rightly placed their faith and confidence in the TriFection team, and we delivered.  These nice folks know we’ll be available anytime they need us in the future.  We know they’ll probably never call another remodeler, but we don’t take that high degree of trust for granted.  This type of working relationship with so many clients across Greater Houston makes TriFection special.
