Transforming houses into homes has the added benefit of transforming clients into friends. These Heights area clients were so delighted with our kitchen remodeling that they invited us back for an encore performance: a double bathroom remodeling project. This time with a vintage bathroom renovation.
Updated living though bathroom remodeling
While their home was already charming, the master and hall bathrooms lacked the warm, inviting feel of a country bed and breakfast our clients prefer. After gaining a full understanding of their vision, we set to work on their bathroom remodeling project.
We began work in the master bathroom by installing beadboard on the walls and painting them Dover White from Sherwin Williams. This created a perfect contrast to the solid red oak cabinets with Shaker style fronts, hand-built by TriFection’s custom cabinet team. An open shelf underneath provides easy access to storage and towels. We also created a matching mirror frame, finished in Golden Maple stain just like the cabinet.
Mystery White marble from Omni Surfaces with a specialty Ogee edge topped the vanity, which we finished off with a Kohler sink and Grohe faucet. Marble added visual appeal on the window sill and atop the knee wall between the vanity and frameless glass shower, which features Grohe fixtures.
We covered the shower walls with Bright Snow White 3”x6” subway tile from Crossville. Then, we turned our attention to the shower and bathroom floors, installing complementary Luxe White Octagon with White Dot mosaic tile, also from Crossville.
Giving the hall bathroom remodeling attention
Our client purchased a striking antique clawfoot bathtub from another TriFection client for their hall bath. In order to have it provide the desired character and classic feel to the bathroom, we removed a wall separating the tub and toilet. We then installed beadboard on all the walls and, as with the master, painted them Dover White from Sherwin Williams.
We then installed new custom cabinets that matched the master bathroom: solid red oak topped with Mystery White marble with Ogee edge, new Kohler sink and Grohe faucet. TriFection’s cabinet craftsmen built another mirror frame like the one we installed in the master bath. We then finished out the floors with Luxe White Octagon with White Dot mosaic from Crossville.
Vintage Bathroom Renovation: Warm, Inviting and Traditional
Our clients are delighted at how well TriFection helped realize their dream of a warm, inviting and traditional feel throughout their home. First in the kitchen and now in the master and hall bath.
