Paging through a magazine, our client in the Heights discovered her dream kitchen. Warm and inviting, perfect for everyday living and entertaining, what she found possessed the old charm found in the Heights. Her only challenge – getting it out of the magazine and into her life. That’s when she called TriFection. We’ve done it before; we did it for her.
A dream kitchen come true
We started with custom cabinets made of solid Beech wood with Shaker style fronts. These cabinets were painted Dover white and outfitted with oil rubbed bronze hardware. The uppers featured glass doors. We highlighted a classic look with wooden beadboard, also painted Dover white, throughout the kitchen and breakfast area. This new woodwork in the kitchen beautifully complemented the existing hardwood floors throughout the house.
Following a growing trend in kitchen design, we painted the island an eye-catching Bracing Blue color, making it stand out from the other cabinets. At the same time, we eliminated the previous high bar to create a flat countertop surface, which facilitates better food serving during parties or family gatherings. For the countertop material, the client chose a distinctive soapstone, fabricated with a straight polished edge and a matching four-inch backsplash.
Appliances and fixtures complete the vision
Our client purchased an Electrolux appliance package from Nor-West Appliances. To preserve the cozy feel of the room, we built a wooden hood to house a Zephyr venthood above the new range and installed a Kohler Cape Dory cast iron undermount sink with a Bridge faucet.
Finally, undercabinet lights and new pendant lights above the sink and in the breakfast area put the finishing touches on what our client first saw in a magazine.
Our client was so pleased by TriFection’s ability to replicate the magazine picture that stole her heart, she’s now engaged us to do a complete remodel of her master bathroom.
Just as an artist can draw inspiration from a photograph, remodeling projects for kitchens, bathrooms, or even whole houses are often based on that perfect image that grabs the client’s attention. He or she may not be able to articulate clearly what they want, but they know immediately when they see it. TriFection’s team of professionals can take a new client’s photograph or completely blank canvas and turn it into an exquisite masterpiece to enjoy for many years.
