Our past clients’ home in The Woodlands featured a unique second-story kitchen with plenty of potential. Sweeping views of the golf course gave a spacious and inviting feeling, but the room’s closed-off floor plan and dated décor were far less appealing. Our clients wanted a more open layout, including a widened doorway into the dining room. They knew TriFection was a trustworthy contractor after we remodeled their master bathroom and downstairs living space AND remodeled most of their friends’ home, so they called us back without hesitation. We were thrilled to hear they had complete faith in us – this trust is something we take very seriously and strive to achieve with all of our clients – and we began working to prove once more their confidence was well-placed.
A truly turnkey remodeler
After planning and preparing for the project, TriFection carefully cleared out the kitchen and adjoining breakfast area, including removing a wall. Prior to demo, however, our knowledgeable professionals discovered that the home’s existing structure needed more support to avoid major problems with the floor in the breakfast area. As a truly turnkey remodeler, we identified and addressed this unexpected issue on the spot by adding support beams to the covered patio structure beneath the second-story breakfast space.
Our clients liked the cherry cabinets we had previously built and installed in the master bathroom, so we built and installed new cherry cabinets in the kitchen, but this time with a dark oak stain and satin nickel hardware. We also placed matching banquet seating in the adjoining breakfast area. Our clients chose beautiful Sienna Bordeaux granite from Midwest for their countertops, fabricated with a full bullnose edge. We installed a simple but elegant backsplash of 4×16 Elevar Crater, a neutral field tile from Daltile, divided in the middle by a Waves Ripple Blend liner. Our tilers laid new floors of 12×24 Ceramica beige polished tile from Ditco.
Our clients reused most of their existing appliances, but they did invest in a new KitchenAid refrigerator and separate Hoshizaki ice machine from NorWest. We installed a Kraus undermount kitchen sink with a Pfister pull-out spray kitchen faucet in Tuscan Bronze finish. TriFection also updated the space with more recessed lighting and LED undercabinet lights. We painted a fresh coat of Smoky Taupe paint on the walls and beams, along with White Dove on the ceilings and trims to complete the space.
Service that sets the bar
During the design and selections phase, our clients decided that they wanted to replace their entertainment cabinetry and a separate bar area on the same floor to match their new kitchen. In the bar area we replaced the cabinetry, counters and backsplash and installed a KitchenAid beverage cooler from Ferguson. We also painted the walls, ceilings, and trim. In the entertainment space we replaced the cabinetry, counters and fireplace surround. TriFection also updated lighting in the living area and added a ceiling fan.
TriFection….tried and true
Our clients are so pleased with their kitchen remodel and their decision to hire TriFection once more. We caught and fixed a potentially serious structural issue and adjusted the original scope of the project to make sure they received exactly what they wanted. Trust means everything in the residential remodeling business, and our experience with these clients serves as the finest example of that concept. Trust leads to a very positive working relationship, smooth execution, additional projects and valuable referrals to friends and neighbors. We’re extremely proud of the transformational impact TriFection has made on this beautiful home, and we’ll come back anytime…..until they run out of rooms in need of an upgrade!
