Woodlands Master Bathroom Remodel

Woodlands Master Bathroom Remodel

Seeing a diamond in the rough, our clients purchased a 1980’s-built home in the Woodlands as part of their relocation from Louisiana. They fully understood this house would require major remodeling and renovation work to meet their tastes and desired functionality, beginning with a Woodlands master bathroom remodel.

One of their primary goals was to design a bathroom that featured a contemporary style. The previous owners had left unchanged many of the original choices from when Ronald Reagan was president and parachute pants were popular….Our clients wanted a bathroom remodel that looked great in the current decade, best accommodated their daily bathroom routine and fit the budget. In other words, it was a typical TriFection challenge.

A place of her own in this bathroom remodel

custom cabinets woodlandsThe wife expressed her bathroom remodel dreams by sending us many pictures she found online. She sought a modern look for the new cabinetry, countertops and tile. She also wanted a deep soaking tub to replace the leaky stand-up shower. Most importantly, however, she desperately wanted her own sitting area for makeup and other parts of her daily routine. At the same time, she needed more storage capacity. Solving this design puzzle for her required a regular back-and-forth exchange of ideas and computer illustrations.

We ultimately decided to tear out the gold-framed mirrored closet to allow for a custom built-in linen/sitting area cabinet. TriFection’s in-house design team and cabinet shop built this beautiful cabinet, along with a custom vanity cabinet, from solid oak. The cabinet fronts are a combination of Shaker and slab, finished with a darker stain to de-emphasize the natural wood grain. Champagne granite counters with a Lucente Andrea glass & stone linear mosaic backsplash complete the desired contemporary look. The area is nicely lit by three pendant lights above the vanity.

Controlling light and privacy

We replaced it with a smaller, energy-efficient transom window, which required new framing and siding repair. To achieve a consistent look throughout the bathroom, we also replaced the window in the water closet.

Details make the difference in this Woodlands Master Bathroom Remodel

A new wall was framed in behind the tub so we could create a recessed shelf for  storage of shampoos, soaps and other bath items. A handheld unit with mounted slide bar allows for rinsing off after bathing in the new deep soaker from American Standard.

The same glass & stone mosaic tile used for the vanity backsplash also accent the shower surround, tub skirt and makeup area.

With their bathroom remodel quest now complete, our clients are already discussing their big kitchen makeover project with us. Once again, TriFection has built a strong relationship and earned trust one room at a time.
