Most people would think that Wharton, Texas may push the definition of being part of the “Greater Houston area”. However, our clients knew it was worth going the distance to find a trustworthy contractor. They soon remembered TriFection to be the right fit for their project. Consequently, four years ago, they had contacted us about remodeling two bathrooms in their forever home. This was after hearing Tom Tynan praise our skills on his HomeShow radio program.
TriFection impressed them with our turnkey service and our focus on true craftsmanship, which exceeded local options. After choosing to work with us, they were very pleased with the results and comfortable with our team of professionals. Now recently retired and prepared to take on a much larger project, our clients contacted us about remodeling their kitchen. At the same time, they wanted us to install new flooring and paint throughout their home. They knew TriFection would do a top-quality job for a fair price.
Shades of Beautiful Blues
Our clients originally planned to keep their kitchen cabinets, which had been well-maintained over the years. So, they initially discussed their goals for functional improvement and their ideal design. But they soon realized that instead of trying to paint or refinish their originals, they really wanted new cabinetry. TriFection prepared the space by clearing out the kitchen except for the wood flooring, which we subsequently refinished. We built and installed new red oak cabinetry with a natural clear coat stain and Berenson hardware in brushed nickel finishes. Our clients chose countertops of Blue Pearl granite from Midwest Tile, Marble and Granite, fabricated with a straight polished edge.
TriFection’s tile professionals installed a backsplash of 3×3 BMX 320 mixed series glazed tile in vivid blue shades and outlined it with 3×6 Denim bullnose tile. Around the kitchen window, we placed a 6×6 matching trim tile. Our clients upgraded their appliances at Ferguson, purchasing all new Jenn-Air stainless steel appliances. Their purchase included an oven, microwave, gas cooktop, vent hood, counter-depth French door refrigerator, and dishwasher. We also installed an Elkay stainless steel double-bowl sink from Ferguson with a Brizo pull-out spray kitchen faucet in a brilliance stainless finish. 
To complete the kitchen, TriFection installed new recessed can lighting and undercabinet lights and gave the kitchen a fresh coat of Sherwin William paint on the walls in Greek Villa, ceilings in Bright White, and trim in Pure White.
Custom Touches
In addition to the kitchen, TriFection updated the rest of our clients’ home with our TriFection touch, including custom furniture, new flooring and fresh paint. You might not be aware that TriFection builds and finishes custom furniture. For these clients, we built and installed a large, specialty cabinet made of beech wood. We finished it in Sherwin Williams Pure White and added Berenson knobs and pulls in dull bronze finishes and a granite countertop with a straight polish edge.
We also installed beautiful new Desert Natural wood flooring throughout our clients’ home, which complemented their refinished wood floors in the kitchen perfectly. TriFection upgraded the lighting to modern LEDs throughout the house. We painted a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams paint throughout most of the home as well, including two bedrooms and an office in Icicle, the master bathroom in Misty, the living room in Sandstorm, and the den in Uptown Taupe. Ceilings were painted in Bright White and trims in Pure White.
