Tropical Bathroom Remodel

Tropical Bathroom Remodel

Tropical Bathroom Remodel in houstonLiving outside of Houston in a gated waterfront community, our clients were already accustomed to beautiful places. They called TriFection to build a beautiful space with a tropical bathroom remodel.

A perfectly tropical bathroom makeover

Our clients agreed that the bathroom needed to be updated. It needed to be opened up and brightened. They told us they wanted a rich, warm, inviting space that had a tropical feel with a warm and earthy natural stone look and vibrant colors.

We began by removing outdated glass block windows. This alone let in more light and gave the room a more open feeling. Adding recessed can lights and new vanity lights would combine to give the room even more light.

Custom cabinetry provides a rich look

TriFection’s custom cabinet carpenters created stunning Red Oak vanity cabinets with Cathedral style doors. For added appeal, we built wood mirror frames to match the vanity cabinets. Chestnut stain gave both the vanity and frames a deep striking luster.

Water is a star player in this bathroom makeover

Water is a key element of any tropical setting. We gave it a leading role in this bathroom by starting with a Bain Ultra Geysair luxury jetted bathtub, featuring a hot air jet system that maintains constant water temperature.

Next, we removed the original glass block, cultured marble shower, its furdown and framed glass. In its place we installed frameless, tempered shower glass.

We then added a Caramel Vein Morse 6” mosaic accent liner in the shower, soap niche and tub apron, which provides an elegant contrast to the travertine. Riviera Green round pebble tile from Emser Tile enhances the shower floor’s natural outdoor feel.

TriFection Success Story: Tropical Bathroom Remodel

We gave this beautiful space added texture with a hopscotch pattern of Caramel travertine floor tile, which blends nicely with the shower walls.  The final touch was a Smokey Topaz paint color from Sherwin Williams for the bathroom walls.

The finished look is earthy and rich, light and open. It’s another example of how TriFection successfully creates spaces in your home to match what was once only seen in your mind’s eye.
