TriFection thrills first-time remodelers on a budget

first time budget remodel

IMG_7101Even a well-loved home, with time and age, will benefit from a thoughtful kitchen update. That was the case for these clients in southeast Houston. After 37 years, our clients decided the time had come to upgrade their kitchen from the original builder-grade finishes.

Before any work could begin, though, our clients felt their first step was finding a reputable contractor. As first-time remodelers, they wanted to be certain the work would be done professionally, within their budget and on time. The trust factor was incredibly important to them. After hearing residential expert Tom Tynan on HomeShow Radio speak glowingly about how TriFection remodeled his kitchen, they decided to give us a call.

Form, Function and Fit in a kitchen update

What our clients envisioned was a fresh, new look. By using today’s styles and new materials, they believed this kitchen update would give their home a whole new feel. 0306151551b-2But, they also had a defined budget that had to be considered when making project scope and selections recommendations.

TriFection helps clients establish appropriate budgets and then optimize the allocation of those funds to experience the most effective transformations. Achieving balance with form, function and fit begins in our initial conversations. Only once we understand our clients’ primary objectives and their financial comfort level, we can propose a remodeling solution that uniquely fits their needs.

In this case, instead of incurring the much larger expense of tearing out and rebuilding all new custom cabinets, we recommended painting our clients’ existing cabinets.

Selections team guides this kitchen update

With a color scheme already in mind, our clients took full advantage of TriFection’s expert selections team to identify materials consistent with their vision. IMG_7121For many homeowners, particularly first-time remodelers, the idea of having to choose the “perfect” combination of cabinet finish, countertops, tile, hardware, paint colors, etc. can be overwhelming, particularly in light of the vast number of choices. However, with TriFection professionals in your corner, the process does not have to be stressful. For these clients, it certainly wasn’t.

Before painting the kitchen walls with Sherwin Williams Silverpoint, we first modified the existing oven cabinet and installed custom vertical shelving along with a new Kenmore over-the-range microwave. Then, we painted the cabinetry with Sherwin Williams Dover White before adding Brainerd satin nickel cabinet pulls. Clients are often surprised by just how much of difference even a simple cabinet hardware change can make in the overall look of a kitchen.

Bianco Iran granite countertops from Midwest Tile, Marble and Granite were installed to the utter delight of our clients. 0306151551c-2Truth be told, that granite is probably their favorite element of the remodel. We also added a Monocebic Graal Bors backsplash field tile from Crossville in a diagonal pattern.

Kitchen update equals customer delight

It was especially gratifying to hear our clients tell us they were “totally thrilled” at how we delivered a transformative kitchen update—and did so on a budget. The kitchen now feels much more open, thanks to the brighter colors and enhanced storage. They were also very pleased with our regular communication during the project, especially while they were out of town. Our clients were so delighted, in fact, they can’t wait to invite us back for future updates to their bathrooms.
