When TriFection says we service the “Greater Houston area,” we mean it. While most residential contractors cover limited territory, we’ve worked in Galveston, Bay City, Wharton, Alvin, Willis, you name it. Our recent client in Bellville pushed our boundary in another direction. Looking to make a sizable, transformational investment in her home, she wanted to partner with a trustworthy and capable contractor. She was unsatisfied with the responses of nearby remodelers and just not comfortable with their level of quality. After hearing great things about TriFection through a friend, she gave us a call. TriFection’s emphasis on true custom craftsmanship and turnkey project management was exactly what she sought. After meeting with our team, seeing examples of our work and reading our positive reviews, she knew she’d found the perfect fit in a contractor.
Decorative, custom cabinetry with extra functionality
TriFection built and installed new beech kitchen cabinetry, featuring cathedral panel upper cabinets and square panel lower cabinets, all painted in Sherwin Williams Snowbound. Corbels and clear glass fronts on certain cabinets added decorative touches, and we installed her personal hardware. For improved functionality, our client asked for pullouts that supported hampers, a specialty mixer pop up shelf, and a double Lazy Susan. We installed Bianco Iran granite countertops, fabricated with a waterfall edge. The swirls of grey and white movement added a unique, eye-catching dimension to the kitchen. For the backsplash, our tilers set 2×4 tumbled Silver Travertine in an offset design. An apron front kitchen sink and Brizo Tresa kitchen faucet with side spray maintained the more traditional design theme.
Our client replaced her flooring in the kitchen with Syrah Hickory 5″ engineered wood flooring from the Napa Valley Collection. We installed the new flooring throughout other parts of the home as well, including the entry and closet, living and dining rooms, and upstairs hallway. She selected stainless steel Bosch appliances, including a double oven, built-in microwave, and a gas cooktop with downdraft vent. She also chose an Electrolux counter-depth French door refrigerator and a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher.
TriFection wired for plenty of new lighting, including LED recessed can lights, undercabinet lights, and tape lights inside selected upper cabinets. We painted a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams Alpaca on the walls, updated the ceilings with Bright White and color-matched the original trim paint.
Powder bath and utility room updates as well as a stunning staircase
Our client also freshened up her adjacent utility and powder bathrooms to match the newly remodeled kitchen. In the utility room, we installed new custom cabinetry, granite counters, tile floors and new lighting. In the powder bath, we added new tile floors and a new vanity light.
One of the most important challenges of this project was the staircase. The original staircase was not built to code – it was crammed into too small of a space, the risers were taller than average and too few steps existed. Fixing these issues required some creative thought and very skilled hands, not to mention our client’s trust and willingness to expand the budget. She understood this was not an undertaking for any local handyman. It required the true master carpenters that TriFection employs. We corrected all of the issues mentioned and added a decorative beadboard wainscot that really dressed up the area while maintaining the style of the home.
Small town values found in a big-city remodeler
Our client is thrilled she took the advice of a friend and called TriFection. She discovered that the old school craftsmanship and small town values of hard work, friendly service and honesty exist in our company, located in the heart of Houston. The changes to her home are beautiful, and the kitchen has an especially warm, welcoming feel that is perfect for those home-cooked meals. For TriFection, we can now add another pin in the map of our continually growing service territory. When you think of TriFection, just remember the ol’ Johnny Cash song – “I’ve Been Everywhere, Man”…… By the way, here’s a tip from our master carpenters – if you’re a meat lover, visit the Bellville Meat Market. It’s worth the trip!
