Outdated is one word you would have used for the master bathroom of our clients in Kingwood. The room featured a wide wallpaper border at the ceiling with images reminiscent of the early 20th century, a tiny shower and cultured marble finishes. Our clients couldn’t wait to bring their space into modern times. They weren’t sure what move to make next, but they knew they wanted a roomier shower and clean lines in their new design. After hearing about TriFection on SportsRadio 610, they gave us a call. Our clients found a contractor that would respect their budget while still focusing on quality craftsmanship. We offered creative solutions that incorporated Form, Function, and Fit. We gained our clients’ trust through numerous examples of similar projects TriFection had completed successfully. Tub to Shower Conversion
Like many clients, ours preferred to use their shower instead of the tub, so our suggestion to remove a feature they rarely used to improve the one they used daily made complete sense. TriFection stripped the wallpaper and eliminated our clients’ tub and pre-fabricated shower area. We reframed for a smaller window, extended the wall by the toilet area, and installed new energy-efficient windows by the shower and the toilet. We built a new, larger shower with a custom shower pan, knee wall, bench seat, and two recessed shampoo niches. We also framed for a second corner bench just outside the shower to create a drying off area and opened up the closet entry to make it more accessible. Our tilers installed 12×24 Ciudad Grey tile from Emser on the shower walls in an offset design with Schluter Jolly Grey trim around the edges, and we placed 12×12 Cultura gray natural stone fabricated like pebbles on the shower floor. Our clients wanted a pop of red in their design, so we placed Bati Orient Vemi quartz glass mix mosaic from Interceramic on the sides and tops of both soap niches and on the top of the shower curb. We also tiled new ceramic floors of 12×24 Ciudad Grey from Emser in an offset pattern with matching 3×12 baseboards.
Kingwood Shower Installation
TriFection installed new Delta plumbing fixtures with chrome finishes in the shower, including a handheld on a slide bar, and added frameless shower glass with matching hardware. We installed new Franklin Brass chrome accessories and reinstalled our clients’ original vanity lights and mirrors. We wrapped up the remodel with a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams paint, including walls in Repose Gray in the master closet, ceiling in Bright White, and trim in Pure White.
