Our newly-engaged clients recently moved into their Heights home and wanted to make it their own. Their living room was dimly lit and dated. Sliding doors opened onto a weathered wood deck in poor shape, missing pieces and too narrow to be useful. Our clients knew their home could have a bright living area with access to a large outdoor entertainment space. So, after reading about TriFection on Angie’s List, they gave us a call. TriFection’s focus on top-quality craftsmanship was important to them, and our extensive remodeling knowledge and ability to complete a wide variety of projects made the decision to choose us as their contractor an easy one.
A Plan that Kindles Excitement
Our clients wanted to do more than just add a spacious deck for entertaining. By remodeling the entire back wall of their living room, they could add natural light to their space and a dual-sided fireplace that would be appreciated both inside and outdoors. This would be flanked on either side with full-size glass doors for easy access to the deck and new windows to let in plenty of light. Fixed windows on a side wall would give additional natural light, too.
Remodeling, Inside and Out
TriFection eliminated the old porch and back living room wall. We framed for the fireplace, two exterior full glass doors, and new white aluminum windows. Our carpenters built a new, expansive outdoor deck, level with the living room floor. We installed Trex Decking in a Fire Pit finish for the caps, bases, rails, and posts, while we used decking in a Rope Swing finish for the trims and ballusters.
We installed a new indoor and outdoor Twilight II gas fireplace and placed French Quarter fireplace stone from Interceramic in a broken joint design on the fireplace face on both the inside and outside. TriFection added Noble White granite for the inside mantle and Silver Pearl granite for the outside mantle, both fabricated with a straight edge. We installed new doors and windows and refinished the living room floors. We painted the living room walls the color of Lunar Surface and matched the existing interior ceiling and trim paint. Outside, we painted the exterior siding and trim to match the rest of the house.
Fired Up About TriFection
Our clients are thrilled with their newly remodeled space. In fact, they’ve already let the Angie’s List community know by posting a very nice online review of TriFection. The living room is completely refreshed and gets plenty of natural sunlight. Moreover, their deck is larger, safer, and can comfortably accommodate guests for parties and gatherings. It’s hard to say where they enjoy sitting more by their new dual-sided fireplace. But one thing is clear – TriFection is a contractor worth knowing, inside and out!
