They had the perfect pool, covered patio, pool table and top-notch audio/visual equipment – a great environment for entertaining friends and family. But, these clients in Richmond wanted to take it one step further and make their home the unquestioned party headquarters. They wanted to add a custom bar.
These nice folks discovered TriFection thanks to a kitchen project we’d completed earlier for their friends. They were impressed with the craftsmanship and wanted something similarly beautiful, functional and unique. They already had the perfect spot for the bar – an open area near the home’s entry that was currently empty and serving no real purpose. It practically screamed for a bar. All they need was a trustworthy custom cabinetmaker that could turn the vision into a reality.
Custom cabinet team crafts the perfect bar
We began their project by sampling various wood species and stain colors. Our goal: achieve the best match for their pool table. We settled on solid beech wood with a Golden Maple stain. We then listened carefully to their entertainment needs as we designed the bar from scratch.

The elegantly wood paneled bar features a wine rack, two beverage coolers, an ice bucket, and two wine chillers built into the serving area countertop. This is one bar that will never run dry.
Behind the bar, a mirrored wall-mounted unit features a wine glass rack and ample shelf space for an array of adult beverages. The look and finish so naturally complement the pool table and surrounding space, it’s hard to believe the bar wasn’t always there.
Time to kickoff the party
TriFection’s custom cabinet team worked hard to complete the project just in time for football season. And, our clients wasted no time putting it to good use, hosting parties in a bigger and better way than ever before.
