Our clients couldn’t escape the look of wood in the kitchen of their two-story Copperfield home. From stained brown cabinets to wood-patterned Formica counters, wood-panel wainscot, and wood floors, the material dominated the design. While our clients appreciated the quality and durability of wood, they wanted to have a much lighter and brighter space. After hearing about TriFection on Tom Tynan’s radio show, they gave us a call. With our vast remodeling experience, we’ve seen this situation before, and our knowledgeable team could offer a variety of custom solutions for our clients based on their desired functionality, personal taste, and budget. Plus, our turnkey service would manage the entire process from design to completion so our clients wouldn’t need to juggle multiple vendors. With TriFection, our clients knew their project would be well-managed and result in a show-stopping kitchen.
All applause for granite with movement
TriFection carefully cleared the kitchen space while protecting the existing flooring. We built and installed new beech cabinetry with a Sherwin Williams White Flour finish and Berenson door knobs and drawer pulls in brushed nickel. To improve the existing pantry closet, we reframed for a wider opening, modified the space for the addition of pullout drawers, and installed French doors.
Our clients wanted new granite countertops with movement like water and a very flow-like pattern to it. They chose Shivakashi Cream from Midwest Tile, Marble and Granite. We fabricated so the movement was consistent across the counters and island, with a half bullnose edge and room for a 6” overhang at the island for seating. We also installed granite on the window sill behind the sink. For the backsplash, TriFection professionals installed 6×6 Bone Brites ceramic tile from Interceramic in a grid pattern with a matching bullnose trim and mosaic accent pieces provided by our clients. They loved the tile used on the stairs of their recently refinished pool, so we incorporated the 2×2 tiles into the backsplash design.
Stainless steel appliances that sparkle
We installed new appliances from Ferguson, including a Jenn-Air microwave, wall oven system, and downdraft cooktop, as well as LG French door refrigerator. We reinstalled our clients’ existing dishwasher. We also put in an Elkay Crosstown Stainless Steel double bowl undermount sink from Ferguson with a Hansgrohe pull-out spray kitchen faucet in steel optik finish.
TriFection upgraded the kitchen lighting by adding new undercabinet lights, an antique bronze Eldridge Rectangular Pendant light above the island, and a matching single pendant in the breakfast room. We painted existing cabinet paneling to match the new cabinetry and freshened up the ceilings with a coat of Sherwin Williams Bright White.
TriFection makes magic again
Our clients can’t believe the transformation TriFection created for their home. A fresh color palate brightened and opened up the space immensely and high-end materials, like their new granite countertops, brought a new level of sophistication to the room. Little touches reflect their personal tastes, and updated appliances will be appreciated for many years to come. Thanks, TriFection!
