New queen of color in Kingwood

Kingwood queen of color

With an eye for color and worldwide travel experience, our Kingwood client found the bathroom in her new second story condo unit lacked personality. She contacted TriFection for assistance after reading about us in a home improvement magazine. Some contractors would pass on small projects like this one. However, at TriFection, size does not matter.   We’re concerned only with project “fit.” For prospective clients who fairly value custom craftsmanship, top-quality materials and excellent turnkey service, TriFection represents the perfect contractor, regardless of whether their space is large or small.

IMG_7614Even a small bathroom remodel requires careful planning

We partnered with our client to find a way to improve the functionality of her bathroom and reflect her personality. We outlined a plan for a new shower that reconfigured her bench seating for better navigation and offered better access, with an open entry instead of a glass door. Our client liked her existing vanity cabinet and granite countertop, so we needed to find complementary tile, fixtures and a paint color to match her unique, vibrant style. As part of our project scheduling, we needed to be considerate of her condominium neighbors while adhering to her complex’s rules for construction activity.

On site, our professionals got to work building a new shower from scratch, including a custom poured concrete mud bed and hand cut PVC shower pan liner. On the shower walls, we installed 12″x24” Stoneline Gold Grip, a golden-toned porcelain tile, which we also extended outside the shower to the bathroom floor in an offset pattern. The tile provided a warm neutral tone, and its textured surface reduced the risk of slippage. Our client selected a deco liner of handmade Hirsch glass tile imported from Germany for a feature with international appeal. The swirls of red, orange, and yellow in the Hot Planet glass tile from the Linea Collection immediately catch the eye and provide a nice contrast against the backdrop of field tile. Linen Cream filled and honed tile placed in a mini Versailles pattern completed the shower floor.

Finishing touches to this bathroom remodelIMG_7621

We installed brushed nickel plumbing fixtures from Ferguson, including a Fortis rain shower head with a Hansgrohe Raindance shower arm and a Kohler grab bar. Clear, frameless glass with brushed nickel hardware completed the shower. For the final touch, we used Sherwin Williams Bravado Red to paint the walls and Dover White to paint the ceiling. The red completely transformed the room and provided the ideal setting our client’s artwork.

Big impact in a small space

Our client is thrilled with her new bathroom and fully appreciates the impact TriFection can have on a relatively small space. She can maneuver more easily in the redesigned custom bathroom, particularly after recent surgery. Just as importantly, the new color scheme provides an appropriate expression of her tastes and personality. Big or small, bring ’em all….to TriFection for Form, Function and Fit.
