Our clients’ home in the Bentwater community on Lake Conroe had a lot to offer, including stunning lake views and a golf course around the corner. The hazards lay in their master bathroom. An oversized, step-up tub deck ate up floor space and unnecessarily elevated their bathing area. Nearby, the shower felt cramped and closed off. Tall walls of glass block and matching windows dominated and dated the bathroom’s overall design. After hearing about TriFection on Tom Tynan’s HomeShow radio broadcast, our clients gave us a call. We stood behind our word in serving the Greater Houston area and our in-person consultation laid out our clear and thoughtful process to remodeling. They quickly teed up TriFection as their contractor.
Goodbye, Glass Block
TriFection emptied our clients’ bathroom of glass block and completely cleared out the floor, shower, and tub areas. We built a new, larger shower and framed for a bench seat and soap niche. On the walls and bench our tilers placed 12×24 Symphony Taupe in an offset design, and on the shower floor we installed 2×2 Contessa Pearl tile from Interceramic. We placed a Symphony Taupe wainscot behind the tub area, wrapping the tile into the space’s windows. TriFection also added new tile floors of 6×36 Alpine Café from Emser in an offset design.
Our clients picked out a MAAX freestanding bathtub, and we installed it along with Kohler plumbing fixtures from Ferguson in vibrant brushed nickel finishes. Matching fixtures went in the shower, and clear, frameless glass with brushed nickel hardware completed the space. Fresh paint added one more touch that made the bathroom feel bigger. We painted Sherwin Williams Anew on the walls, Bright White on the ceilings, and Pure White on the trims.
