Modernizing Bathroom Update

Modernizing Bathroom Update

league city remodelFew things run deeper than football rivalries like the one growing between Baton Rouge and College Station. Yet, somehow, these LSU clients in League City were willing to set it aside by choosing Aggie-owned TriFection for three projects. After remodeling their kitchen and a powder bathroom, they called us back again for a master bathroom update.

Modernizing bathroom update

When you have something that works, you stick with it. That’s what we discovered during our initial visit with this retired couple. There was no need for a change to the layout of their bathroom; it was already spacious and functional. It was also unquestionably dated.

Our client wanted a more modern look. That meant their gold-framed shower with white square tiles and the jetted tub surrounded by white cultured marble had to go.

To complement their fresh new look, we built a mirror frame to match the cabinet style. Then, we added Mohave quartzite countertops with a 1-1/2-inch bullnose, accented nicely by new Tiffany style glass pendant vanity lighting. For sake of design continuity, we also added a new Barrington 13-inch bronze semi-flushmount light in the water closet.

Refreshing the shower

Using the same Mohave quartzite on the tub deck and in the shower helped unify the look of this bathroom update. For added visual appeal and a unique touch of flair, we used a Hirsch linear glass tile in the recessed shower niche as well as on the tub skirt and splash.

The new frameless glass shower also features a bench seat and Kohler handheld unit on a slidebar. The shower walls are finished with Contessa Cameo 12”x24” tile from Interceramic in a vertical broken joint pattern. Emser Rivera Round multi-colored pebble covers the shower floor to finish out the space.

Floors and colors complete this bathroom update

Finally, we painted the room with Barcelona Beige from Sherwin Williams to complete this refreshingly modern master bathroom update.

Can the 12th Man wear purple and gold?

We work hard to leave our clients feeling like winners—even if they do wear purple and gold. Maybe that’s why this bathroom update was our third major project for this loyal LSU household. They’ve even referred us to the next-door neighbors for whom we’ve since done a kitchen and master bathroom update as well. It’s almost enough to make us forget that Aggie-Tiger rivalry…..Almost.
