Your first time navigating a remodeling project means taking a leap of faith. The vision. The materials. The contractor. Getting what you want means getting all three right. That’s why this Cypress client chose TriFection. The only catch – given this would be her first remodeling experience, she was concerned about having unknown people in her home when she wasn’t. But, as is always the case, after meeting TriFection’s crews and observing their professionalism and respectful nature, she felt secure knowing her home would be in good hands. It’s a process that began with her initial meetings with TriFection.
TriFection’s first master bathroom remodel step
Long before a TriFection crew arrives at a project, we spend time listening, learning and uncovering what clients really want. In this case, our client didn’t just want an ordinary bathroom remodel; what she really wanted was a larger, custom walk-in shower.
Once she was able to see our computer rendering for her proposed shower, our client was able to not only visualize the finished project, but she was willing to expand her budget to get it just right.
Big changes in a bathroom remodel for big shower
Since her tub was rarely used, our client gladly allowed us to remove it, making room for a much larger shower featuring a bench seat, long knee wall topped with frameless glass and an open entry for easier access. Her new shower also features an 8” Moen rainshower head, lever handles from Pfister’s Kenzo line, and a Delta handheld shower from the Vero Bath Collection—all with chrome finishes.
We covered the shower walls and bathroom floor with Fibra Suede 12” x 24” field tile from Arizona Tile, plus Milky Way Bamboo accent tile in the shower from Interceramic. The field tile was laid on the horizontal with a broken joint pattern, while the accent tile was positioned vertically to accent the shower fixtures. Then, on the shower floor, we installed Fibra Suede 2” x 2” mosaic tiles.
Finishing out a modern looking bathroom remodel
We updated the vanity in a French Roast color topped with a Kashmir White granite countertop, featuring two undermount Caxton skinks from Kohler. Because details matter, the mirror was framed to match the cabinets while new pulls were added to the vanity. To complete the modern look, we installed a new five-light chrome finished Kichler vanity light and replaced the old toilet with a new Kohler Cimarron.
Lastly, we stripped off the old wallpaper, prepped the walls and repainted the entire bathroom in a Sand Dollar color with Pacer White trim, both from Sherwin Williams.
From start to finish, a Modern Master Bathroom
Our client was not only pleased with her first remodeling experience, but particularly appreciated TriFection’s crews for being responsive to all of her needs. In fact, required changes or corrections along the way were often completed the next day. She was especially thankful for Sahra’s assistance in choosing materials to achieve the desired look and for Stuart being so helpful while he managed the remodeling process.
She now enjoys how the bathroom looks bigger without the tub. She also takes pleasure in sharing with all her friends how her leap of remodeling faith with TriFection landed her in the sleek, modern master bathroom she really wanted.
