Our clients in Clear Lake concluded their home no longer fit their tastes and needs, but they loved the neighborhood and did not want to move. So, they decided to pursue the remodeling option and called TriFection after hearing Tom Tynan explain why he chose us to remodel his own bathrooms. These first-time remodelers wanted a contractor who would listen to their objectives, provide professional design & selections assistance and execute the entire project, not just part of it. Not long after the initial consultation, they believed TriFection was a great fit for the project.
The vanity cabinets were in good shape, but just needed a refresh with minor repairs and new paint job. We custom-mixed a color to match the original finish and painted the cabinets and mirror frames. New River Bourdeaux granite countertops from Midwest Tile, Marble & Granite provided a beautiful contrast with natural movement. The selection of brushed nickel cabinet knobs and pulls from the Greenwich collection by Hickory Hardware complemented the contemporary look. The installation of Thomasville Nisse vanity lights, Mirabelle undermount sinks and Kohler faucets completed the vanity area.
The new walk-in shower is a show-stopper. It’s very spacious and features Monethyum Graal Bors porcelain tile from Crossville Tile & Stone in 10×20” on the walls and in 2×2” on the floors. We used a warm Scabos 1×2” split face travertine brick mosaic tile for a liner around the shower walls and top of the knee wall. Our clients chose Kohler plumbing fixtures with a polished nickel finish, including a handheld showering unit on a slide bar. We enclosed the shower with modern frameless glass.
We installed a new Jacuzzi tub and tiled the tub deck in a similar pattern to match the shower, with a Scabos deco ring around top of the tub skirt and Monethyum Graal Bors porcelain tile for the rest of the skirt and tub splash. Our master tile setters laid the same field tile on the floor throughout the bathroom.
Final touches of elegance and color
Following a thorough search, our clients found the perfect light fixture above the bathtub, a Crystorama Jennings drum pendant chandelier in a polished nickel finish from Ferguson. We added new LED can lights to better illuminate the room. The bathroom walls received a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams Row House Tan, which accented the new cabinets, counters and tile very nicely.
So, while we’re at it…
Our clients also enlisted TriFection for other updates throughout the house, including the kitchen, dining room, laundry room, living room, and a powder bathroom. We painted a large portion of the rest of their home with custom mixed colors. The laundry and powder bathroom benefited from all new custom cabinetry and granite countertops. In the kitchen, we painted the cabinets, replaced drawer boxes and hardware, and installed a new granite countertop on the island. New LED recessed cans in various rooms dramatically improved the lighting effect. The installation of new French doors enclosed a relaxing sitting and media room just off the foyer.
Loving the finished remodel and bringing TriFection back for an encore
Our clients are thrilled with the new look of their home and very appreciative of how we managed the entire process. We easily accommodated a few of their selections adjustments once the project had begun, without causing major disruptions to the schedule. They were also very impressed with the professionalism of our crews and felt completely comfortable allowing them to work throughout the day while no one was home. Constant communication fostered a great working relationship between us. Now, they’ve already asked to get the band back together again for a encore performance on two upstairs bathrooms. We can’t wait to get started!
