It’s hard to count how many clients tell us they seldom, if ever, use their bathtub. So it was with these clients near Atascocita who wanted a more sophisticated and functional master bathroom. They wanted out with the bland builder-grade materials and in with a true custom master bathroom upgrade
Materials matter in a bathroom upgrade
Nothing says builder-grade like cultured marble counters. We replaced theirs with Santa Cecilia granite counters, featuring two Kohler Caxton undermount sinks fitted with oil-rubbed bronze Kingston Brass faucets from the Claremont line.
Since the cabinets were in good shape structurally, we recommended refacing. The client chose red oak solid wood fronts, finished with dark oak stain. Shaker style frames with raised center panels for the doors and slab drawer fronts added the desired look of sophistication to the vanities. We then built and installed two custom wood-framed mirrors that accented the new cabinet fronts nicely.
Bathroom upgrade lighting
Originally, there was only one vanity light. As part of our bathroom upgrade, we added two new Galway three-light bars with an oil rubbed bronze finish. For additional light, we also installed recessed can lights to brighten a previously dark bathroom.
Walk-in shower convenience
Our clients didn’t want a shower door, which allowed for a more open, free-flowing design. We created their walk-in shower surround using Crossville’s Esquire Stone Fire Almond 12”x12” tile in a broken joint pattern. They selected oil-rubbed bronze shower fixtures from the same Claremont line of Kingston Brass as the vanity to create a unifying look. Next, we added Rivera Terracotta Pebbles from Emser Tile to cover the shower floor. Frameless glass panels finished off this beautiful shower.
Final touches matter
We covered the bathroom and closet floor with Esquire Stone Fire Noce 18”x18” tile from Crossville in a diagonal pattern. A modern comfort-height Cimarron toilet from Kohler was also installed.
Our clients were delighted with TriFection’s attention to every detail and tell us they haven’t once missed having a bathtub in their thoroughly upgraded master bathroom. They also commented how much they now enjoy the look and feel of a luxury hotel bathroom every day.
