With a home just around the corner from TriFection’s soon-to-be-completed office in west Houston, our clients were excited to begin the second half of their large remodeling project. After the wife’s parents referred them to TriFection, they watched us transform an upstairs guest bathroom and install new flooring in their home. Now, it was time to get to work on their downstairs master bathroom. They couldn’t wait to get rid of the carpet, gold fixtures and basic white tile in favor of a design that was more expressive of their personal style. TriFection came to the rescue for this master bathroom makeover in West Houston.
West Houston Custom Bathroom Cabinetry
TriFection built and installed new beech, square style cabinetry with cove raised panels, painted Sherwin Williams Dorian Grey. Polished nickel door knobs and drawer pulls from the Designers Group 10 collection brought a shine to the vanities.
We built a new shower from the ground up and placed 12×12 Mirasol Bianco 
Carrara honed tile from Pro Source on the walls in a stacked design and Virtue 3×3 tile from Crossville on the floors, also in a stacked design. Our professional tilers installed a wainscot of 12×24 Mirasol Bianco Carrara honed tile. This tile handsomely mimics white marble, in a 33% offset design behind the bathtub. With carpet a distant memory, we installed an offset pattern Knoxwood Caraway tile from Marazzi for new floors and baseboards. Our clients wanted the look of real wood. However,they knew firsthand the importance of using the right material in a wet area. Tile patterned to look like grey, natural wood floor planks, complete with knots and graining, offered the best water-safe solution.
Clawfoot Tub Completes the Makeover
Our clients picked out a regal, freestanding Maidstone Chevington clawfoot acrylic tub with DXV Randall tub filler. We installed new Delta Lahara fixtures in the shower and enclosed the space in clear, frameless glass with polished chrome hardware. They kept the vanity sinks and faucets, but we installed new lighting, including a mounted Sea Gull Gladstone light fixture, and a new LED can light. We also added a new vent fan and a Kohler Cimarron toilet. Delta Leland accessories and a fresh coat of color-matched taupe wall paint completed the room.
