When our client experienced a leaky shower earlier this year, he wisely decided against just a temporary patchwork repair. He wanted a complete shower remodel, built the right way so he could customize it for his needs and never have to worry about it again. He then began thinking about a kitchen remodel. After all, his master bathroom and kitchen were both outdated, and those are the two most frequently used, most valuable rooms in the house. With the stock market at record levels, he concluded the time was right to make a sizable investment in his home. He just needed a trustworthy contractor to guide him through the extensive design, selections and execution processes. Given his complete satisfaction with the craftsmanship and service he had received from other Tom Tynan Certified HomeShow Pros, he looked no further than TriFection for this important project.
Room for upgrades
TriFection’s skilled demo team cleared out the kitchen with precision, eliminating features that wasted space or dated the room, such as furdowns, laminate counters and backsplash, and mismatched appliances. We built and installed new solid oak cabinetry with a Traditional Cherry stain, which complemented our client’s existing terracotta floors. The new cabinetry included raised panel fronts, upper cabinets to the ceiling and best-in-class door hinges and soft-close drawer guides. We also installed new cabinet knobs & pulls, crown moulding and energy-efficient replacement windows.
The more granite, the merrier
Our client wanted to make a bold statement with granite countertops in his new kitchen, and he hand-picked two different types of slabs from Omni Surfaces. We placed Colonial Gold, a creamy granite with brown and gray flecks, on the kitchen’s perimeter cabinetry and a built-in desk. On the island, we installed Lapidus, a granite of rich gold and brown tones. Our master tile setters carefully laid a backsplash of 3×6 Brites Almond field tile in a broken joint pattern.
All new stainless steel appliances from Ferguson updated the look and technology in our client’s kitchen. He purchased KitchenAid appliances, including an electric cooktop, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. He also purchased a new stainless steel Zephyr range hood. TriFection installed a Mirabelle stainless steel undermount double-bowl kitchen sink and a Kohler faucet with a pull-out spray in a vibrant stainless finish. We installed new recessed can lights and Elk mini-pendant lights from Ferguson above the island.
TriFection wrapped up the kitchen remodel with fresh Sherwin Williams paint, placing Crescent Cream color on the main walls, Cedar on an accent wall behind the breakfast table, Bright White on the ceiling, and High Reflective White on the trim.
Twice as nice
Our client had nothing but praise for the TriFection team and the stark transformation we achieved for his kitchen. With updated cabinetry and gleaming granite countertops, he’s gained more storage space and show-stopping surfaces that wow visitors on first sight. He was particularly impressed with the professionalism of our crews, mentioning that “…whenever you work with a group of people like this, you always expect to have at least one bad apple, but I never met one! Everyone was so kind and helpful throughout the process.” How you like those apples?….We like ’em A LOT! Thanks for choosing TriFection!
