Our clients recently decided to renovate their Spring Branch home, just down the road from TriFection’s office. After making small updates to their kitchen over several years, it was time to face the truth – their kitchen would never meet its full potential with piecemeal changes. Only a complete remodel would transform our clients’ space and address the large wish list items they shied away from handling in the past, like removing a full wall. Our clients needed to find a true turnkey contractor they could trust to handle their project correctly. They found TriFection, a highly rated, award-winning company in their own backyard.
Open up the possibilities in this kitchen
TriFection removed the full wall separating the kitchen from the dining room, which completely opened up the space to the rest of the home and brought smiles to our clients, who had long wanted to see the barrier go. We eliminated the existing pantry closet to make room for new floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and carefully dismantled the rest of the kitchen, making sure to protect and save the brushed nickel hardware that our clients wished to keep and reuse.
TriFection built and installed solid oak cabinetry with tulip paneling, finished in a Fruitwood stain. Our clients chose Typhoon Bordeaux granite from Omni Surfaces for their countertops. This exotic stone features plenty of movement and was fabricated with a 1 ½” bullnose edge. Additionally, as a remodeler focused on high end custom and quality work, we could meet our clients’ request to fabricate the granite so veining in the slabs ended up closer to the windows in the room.
For the backsplash, TriFection placed 4×4” Mexican Crema Imperial from Interceramic in a diagonal pattern, spacing to include five additional inserts provided by the client. We plumbed for a new Kraus undermount stainless steel sink and installed our clients’ favored kitchen sink and hardware.
Modernized kitchen with stainless steel, lighting and paint colors
Our clients upgraded to all new stainless steel appliances, including: a GE range, Sharp microwave drawer, LG French door refrigerator, Zephyr range hood, and a Kenmore dishwasher. We made sure they would gleam in a well-lit space by installing new lighting, including LED recessed cans and undercabinet lights, all with dimmer switches for complete control. To wrap up, we patched the floor at the kitchen entry and painted Pacer White from Sherwin Williams on the walls, Pure White on the trim, and Ceiling Bright White on the ceilings.
Pinch me….is this beautiful new kitchen really ours?
Our clients are very pleased to have a completely new kitchen that crosses off all of the items on their wish list, and TriFection even solved some electrical issues they’d had on and off for many years. They have already recommended our top-quality services to others and have nothing but good things to say about the work TriFection performed in their home. There isn’t much higher praise than hearing clients say, “We wake up every morning and wonder if it’s really ours!”
