Our clients in Westbury set out to remodel the master and guest bathrooms in their 1950s home after finding inspiration from some online photos. They had a vision and needed a turnkey contractor who could completely gut their space, replace the room’s outdated features, like half-a-century-old tile, and bring the bathroom into this decade. After reading about TriFection, our clients contacted us and found a partner who could handle their project from start to finish, professionally managing everything in-between. Instead of jumping right into both bathroom remodels simultaneously, we mutually agreed to start with the guest bathroom and then focus on the master upon completion. This approach would provide our clients: 1) a usable bathroom at all times, 2) more time to approve designs and selections for the master bathroom without feeling pressured, particularly given their busy work schedules, and 3) a better understanding of TriFection’s remodeling process through firsthand experience on the guest bathroom project.
TriFection carefully and completely cleared the guest bathroom down to the studs. We built and installed new custom, Shaker-style beech cabinetry, painted with a Sherwin Williams Pure White finish. We affixed classic comfort style hardware in a brushed nickel finish, the Berenson Domestic Bliss series, and we topped the vanities with elegant Silver Pearl Fantasy counters, fabricated with a bullnose edge. This selection, along with a Kohler undermount sink and Moen Voss faucet in a brush nickel finish, dramatically updated the vanity space.
A sensational shower
For the new shower and tub combination, our clients chose a modern Mirabelle Edenton soaking tub. We installed 4×8” Carerra honed and polished natural stone tile on the surrounding walls along with a contrasting mosaic of Lucente Concordia glass tile. Our master tile setters also laid new bathroom floors, featuring 18×18” Dordogne Cendre tile.
TriFection installed Moen Voss shower fixtures and matching bathroom accessories, all in brush nickel finishes, to complement the vanity area. We wired for Moen Voss lighting fixtures above the vanity. A new Kohler toilet and fresh Sherwin Williams paint completed the room transformation.
Make way for the master bathroom
Our clients are very happy with the updates to their guest bathroom. All future guests undoubtedly will be impressed when given the opportunity to use this renovated bathroom. Those guests may not want to leave and very likely will draw inspiration to remodel their own bathrooms upon returning home. Meanwhile, our folks in Westbury now completely trust TriFection’s craftsmanship and service and are ready to tackle the master bathroom project. Stay tuned for that story in the coming months.
