Our clients in Friendswood were tired of their master bathroom and wanted to remodel. They knew their tub could be removed permanently, and they wanted a meaningfully larger shower with modern amenities. In fact, they were so excited about making a change that they removed all of their wallpaper before calling for help! However, our clients knew they needed to hire a quality contractor; a premium, turnkey remodeling service would ensure their bathroom remodel turned out exactly how they wanted. This was not a Do-It-Yourself type of project….After finding TriFection through an online search and enjoying what they saw on our website, our clients gave us a call. They were very impressed with the examples of tub-less bathrooms we completed for past clients, and our knowledgeable team would make certain their project was well-designed, professionally managed and built properly. Our clients quickly put us to work.
Storm safe with plenty of shower space
In order to make room for the larger shower our clients wanted, TriFection redesigned part of the master bathroom, including removing and repositioning the water closet. Our clients were pleased to discover TriFection could handle exterior remodeling changes, such as replacing windows, so they requested we eliminate two glass block windows in favor of windstorm-certified vinyl windows with obscure rain glass and repair the brick around another deleted window. We also would update their bathroom entrance with a new pocket door.
TriFection built and installed new beech cabinets with a Dark Oak stain finish and Berenson doorknobs and drawer pulls in a weathered nickel finish. Our clients wanted a tower cabinet with additional electric outlets inside, so we built one for the vanity along with two matching mirror frames. Our clients chose Antique White granite from Midwest Tile, Marble and Granite for the countertop, fabricated with a bullnose edge.
We framed out for a more luxurious shower with a bench seat and a separate drying space with a second bench. After building the new shower, including a custom shower pan, our professional tilers installed 12×24 Versailles Chateaux Ivoire, a natural-looking glazed porcelain tile from Interceramic, on the shower walls. On the floor we placed 2×2 Imola Koshi dark grey tile from Crossville, which we also inserted on the back of the soap niche to match. On the shower and drying benches, we placed an Antique White granite top to match the vanity countertop. TriFection added new bathroom floors of 12×24 Imola Koshi in a broken joint pattern with matching baseboards.
Keeping it cool with Kohler fixtures
TriFection installed two rectangular undermount Kohler sinks from Ferguson at the vanity along with widespread Kohler faucets in vibrant brushed nickel finishes. Our clients selected Kohler shower fixtures in vibrant brushed nickel finishes from Ferguson, including a handheld showering unit, as well as matching Kohler accessories for the rest of the space. We installed two Kichler vanity lights in brushed nickel finishes and placed clear, frameless glass on the shower half wall. TriFection completed the bathroom with a coat of Sherwin Williams Dust Blu paint on all the walls, except for one accent wall we painted Storm Cloud. We also freshened up the ceilings and trims with a shade that matched their existing paint color.
Fantastic Friendswood bathroom complete!
Our clients truly love their custom bathroom remodel. All of our tradesmen “were incredibly professional” and our clients now have a bathroom that reflects their personal style. Upon our completion, they were so excited with the new space, they commented, “We’re afraid to use it because we don’t want to mess it up!” We hope they do use it – and enjoy it for many years to come!
