If you have carpeted bathroom floors and aged floral wallpaper, it might be a sign you need to remodel. Our past clients in Humble had two bathrooms that needed help, and they decided to take action by calling TriFection. After 12 years, they still remembered the positive experience they had working with us to transform their kitchen. They knew we would be able to change their bathrooms for the better because our approach focuses on three goals in remodeling – Form, Function, and Fit. The project outcome would look great, work well, and fit their lifestyle and budget because TriFection was in their corner.
Vision of vertical design
Our clients gathered inspiration from Pinterest and came to every appointment excited and ready to work with us. They envisioned bright, open spaces and found an image online with a vertical mosaic tile they really liked. TriFection put together a plan that incorporated the vertical layout and a fresh color palate. We updated the vanity area by installing a new stone countertop of Swiss Alps, polished granite with an active black and white design. The counter was custom cut to display the part of the slab our clients liked the most and fabricated with a waterfall edge. We also replaced the vanity drawer pulls with new American Diner chrome pulls and installed a custom wooden mirror frame, finished in Sherwin Williams Snowbound.
TriFection built a brand new custom shower, including a shower pan with a hand-cut PVC liner set between two layers of concrete. As with all TriFection custom showers, we tested the new shower pan for water leaks over a 24-hour period before proceeding to the next step. We placed 12×24 Esplanade Alley tile from Emser in a vertical design on the shower walls with matching 3” bullnosed pieces around the edges. Down the center of the back wall we ran a vertical accent liner of Aquablu Mosaics Twilight turquoise glass tile in a broken joint pattern, and on the shower floor we placed honed Cultura Autumn Pebbles from Emser. We also installed new bathroom floors of 12×24 Esplanade Alley tile in an offset design with matching 3” bullnosed tile baseboards. The tile was placed for clean, continuous lines in the design so it looked as if the vertical shower tile cascaded down the wall and across the floor.
Airy and bright
Our professionals installed two oval undermount Kohler sinks with chrome Delta faucets from Ferguson at the vanity area. We placed Delta fixtures from Ferguson with matching finishes in the shower, including an arm-mount handshower head. For improved lighting, we installed two Park Harbor polished chrome vanity lights and an LED recessed can light. To wrap up the remodel, we closed off the shower with a clear, frameless glass sliding door, installed Delta bathroom accessories, and applied a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams paint. We painted Swimming on the walls, Snowbound on the trims, and Bright White on the ceilings.
Halfway there, all the way loving it
Our clients are thrilled with TriFection’s transformation of their secondary bathroom into a bright and engaging space. The color scheme better reflects their current personal tastes and even makes the room seem larger. Now they can’t wait for TriFection to finish turning their master bathroom into a masterpiece!
