Our clients live in Oak Ridge, near The Woodlands in a well-maintained, older home, but their master and guest bathrooms looked tired and dated. They knew the best option to freshen them up would be to partner with a trustworthy, expert remodeler. After hearing Tom Tynan talk about TriFection on his HomeShow Radio program, they gave us a call. Our clients, one a former industrial project manager, immediately saw the value of working with a turnkey service provider that handles everything from design to build and insures no detail is overlooked. From the outset, our team was transparent regarding the appropriate budget, the quality of materials and labor employed, and our remodeling process. These clients did not take long to choose TriFection, even though one local contractor presented a supposedly comparable remodeling bid for $25,000 less than ours. They recognized the two bids were NOT on equal footing and did not want to take any chances on compromised quality or a misleading proposal. Kudos to these folks for understanding you typically “get what you pay for” and trusting TriFection to treat them fairly.
Planning for success
We began the project by focusing on remodeling the master bathroom. Our client originally had a tub-shower combination and wanted to go back in with a curbless shower. After explaining thoroughly what to expect and the necessity of proper slope and additional cutting into their foundation, TriFection offered an alternative idea. A low-profile curb would be a more effective solution and save costs as well! Our clients really liked the concept. We cleared the bathroom space completely, including removing the pre-fabricated tub-shower surround combination, cultured marble countertop, and chain vanity lighting. We built and installed solid beech wood custom cabinetry, painted Sherwin Williams Pure White, with a matching mirror frame. We topped the vanity with Cambria Torquay quartz, with a marble-like appearance and a waterfall edge.
TriFection created a brand new custom shower, complete with a PVC shower pan liner that would never crack, a low-profile curb, and a bench seat. We placed 12×24 Themar Statuario glazed porcelain tile from Arizona Tile on the walls with a 6” accent liner of Hampton Silver honed hexagon tile ringing the shower at the top. We laid the same hexagon tile down for a new shower floor. TriFection also installed new tile bathroom floors of 33% offset 12×24 Concrete Silver tile from Interceramic and 4” tile baseboards that matched the shower wall tile to tie the whole design together.
A touch of control
We installed two white Mirabelle undermount sinks from Ferguson along with Moen widespread, high-arc faucets in brushed nickel finishes. TriFection also installed Moen shower fixtures from Ferguson, including a handheld, in matching finishes. We wired a digital Moen thermostatic system so our clients could control their shower at the touch of a button and installed clear frameless glass with brushed nickel hardware to complete the shower area.
TriFection installed two Capital Lighting vanity lights in brushed silver finishes at the vanity and 4 LED lights throughout the bathroom brightened the space. We placed Moen accessories from Ferguson around the room and completed the remodel with a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams paint. We finished the walls in Repose White, ceiling in Bright White and trim in Eider White.
Inspired by the transformation
Our clients are thrilled with their new master bathroom. Guided by an experienced remodeler, they ended up with a high-quality bathroom at a fair price, not a room full of regrets. They were particularly impressed with the level of communication from TriFection’s team of professionals. We’re currently hard at work remodeling their guest bathroom to complete their project. Based on their delight with our progress and the outcome of the master bath remodel, they have decided to accelerate the timing of a kitchen remodel! We’ll be ready and willing when they are…..Repeat business and referrals from happy clients – that is the secret to TriFection’s success!
