A retired teacher in Copperfield recently hit a breaking point with her master bathroom. Surrounded by dated wallpaper and dingy carpeted floors, she no longer found bath time very enjoyable. But a quick call to TriFection, after reading about us in The HomeMag, would change that. TriFection provides turnkey remodeling service from design to build, including assistance with material selections. This was, in fact, a key aspect of the process her past kitchen contractor failed to provide. With a focus on client service and a clear planning process from start to finish, our client and her husband knew they would be in good hands with TriFection.
Tile designs with clean lines
Our clients knew they wanted a much cleaner design for the bathroom to be a relaxing space and room for a larger tub. TriFection stripped the wallpaper, demolished the linen closet and cleared the bathroom. So, we built and installed new custom beech wood cabinetry, and painted Sherwin Williams Spare White. We also created two mirror frames to match. Then, we installed Berenson hardware in brushed nickel finishes and Colonial White granite countertops from MidWest Tile, Marble and Granite. In fact, it had a nice waterfall edge fabrication.
TriFection built a new shower with a custom shower pan, corner bench seat, and two soap niches. We tiled the shower walls in a broken joint pattern with 3×6 Essentials Brites white beveled tile from Interceramic and neatly trimmed the edges in a matching white 6×6 bullnose tile. The design for the top of the bench matched with a similar 6×6 tile. We placed Calacatta Gold Lantern Mosaic, a polished natural stone tile from Interceramic, in the soap niche and Themar Grigio Savoia hex Matte from Arizona Tile on the shower floor. TriFection installed all new bathroom floors of Castelbianco Vesallo Smoke tile from Interceramic. We set the 12×24 tiles in an offset design and installed three-inch matching tile baseboards.
Bring on the bathtub
TriFection carried the wall tile design to the right of the shower, under the bathroom’s picture window, for a seamless bathtub wainscot. In front, we placed a freestanding Jacuzzi tub for luxurious baths. Our professionals installed two undermount white Kohler vanity sinks with widespread Delta faucets in Brilliance Stainless finishes from Ferguson. Matching Delta plumbing fixtures went in throughout the bathroom, including a rain shower head and handheld, and a tub handheld.
To update the lighting, we installed two new Hinkley vanity lights in a polished antique nickel finish from Ferguson, hung a Craftmade mini chandelier in a brushed nickel finish above the tub, and placed 5 additional LED lights throughout the space. We enclosed the shower with clear, frameless glass and brushed nickel hardware, and we installed Delta accessories in Brilliance Stainless finishes from Ferguson. To complete the remodel, we painted a new coat of Sherwin Williams paint on the walls in Gray Screen, the ceiling in Bright White and the trims in Pure White
Relaxed at last
Overall, our clients are thrilled with their updated master bathroom. The new color scheme and lighting updates have completely opened up and brightened their space. And now, with custom cabinetry, they have the space for a larger freestanding tub. Bath time is far more relaxing with the simplified design… and the addition of a wall-mounted TV to watch their favorite shows from the tub! From our painter stripping wallpaper late one night to the project manager willing to dust, TriFection’s team was hardworking and professional. Indeed, we happily exceeded their expectations. Our clients are so pleased with their remodel, they’ve already referred us to people in the area for remodeling work!
